This week we’re going to help you get a very bad night sleep. Imagine yourself lying on the untarnished floor of an unfamiliar room, surrounded by acid-coloured monsters, foetal skeletons, humans turned into wild animals speaking an unfriendly, ordinary language and ferociously craving for answers, affection, love. Whether you believe it’s real or not, it’s certainly an eerie land you inexplicably belong to. Italian artist Nicola Alessandrini‘s ravings on mixed media paintings and artworks certainly find expression in terms of grotesqueness and intersection of language, identity, culture and society. Today the artist is bringing his visionary world to Fabrica Fluxus Art Gallery, in Bari, Italy, with an unmissable solo show entitled «Tra bestia e cielo» (Between beast and sky). We didn’t want to miss the chance to talk to him before the show. We talked about everything. We talked about being an artist and the struggle that lies therein.
